I imagine you have already been playing around with Open AI’s latest release of the GPT Store and are now wondering – are they any good? What are some of the Top 10 Sports Betting GPT’s available in 2024? Well, this article will dive deeper into the GPT landscape and which Sports Betting GPT is worth your while.

Foreword: Most of the Sports betting GPT’s use Bing as the primary resource and query Bing with almost every search so the data we discovered seemed to be accurate and up-to-date, and our analysis considers this as well as other factors including:

  1. Range: Ability to answer multiple questions on different topics ranging from strategy to live odds
  2. Recall: Ability to recall or discover sports betting odds, promo codes or other useful information from Bing
  3. Response: Detailed & thorough answers that reference sources or provide sufficient guidance

We also aimed to ask similar questions across the board to keep things fair, challenging the GPT where we thought necessary to test its range and ability to answer different sports betting related topics as well as recall information from Bing.

Our Guide is broken down into the following recommendations:

  • Use: A definite, don’t even doubt yourself here
  • Try: Could be better but still does what it needs to in certain cases
  • Avoid: Not for us, unless they dramatically improve something!

If you want to find a list of the GPT’s available you can, of course, use the GPT Store itself, but here is another useful resource we found useful: GPTstore.AI.

Without further ado, let’s begin!

Our Top Pick

1. Sports Betting Picks & Tips

[Used 1992 times by Jan. 2024]

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Far and away our favourite option for US bettors, Sports Betting Picks and Tips, created by Benjamin Ogden, offers a range of useful applications. Some we discovered are:

  1. Finding todays best bets according to sports betting tip websites
  2. Explaining commonly misunderstood terms & sports betting strategies
  3. Understanding who is playing today and what the odds are for each match.

It commonly uses Bing so the content is usually up to date, although in testing we found that it did mention events that had previously occurred, although I imagine this is due to timezone differences, and the information it provided was correct and accurate.

Important to note here is that it is primarily aimed at an American audience – often quoting odds in American vs European so stay away if not familiar with American odds betting.

2. Spanos

[Used 817 times by Jan. 2024]

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Only one word to describe Spanos: glorious. It is a pleasure to use, with excellent recall, great understanding, and sufficient information in each answer. It presents a clear understanding of betting odds, favourites and underdogs. Although currently under-utilised in the GPT store (only 800 users), it is one of the most comprehensive Sports Betting GPT’s we tested and I would recommend using anyone from beginner up to advanced AI & Sports betting enthusiasts try this – definitely a 5 star from us.

The only reason Spanos was not number one was the depth of responses seemed too light on the ground but this is minor given there is sufficient depth in the responses for anyone to pick up and use it.

3. Prize Picks AI

[Used 579 times by Jan. 2024]

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Really nice! Great recall to stay up-to-date with events, great at finding odds and free bets. It also has a great understanding of previous winners and losers at World Cup events and likely club team events – although I imagine this will skew more towards the favourite vs underdog pick most of the time.

We had almost no complaints here but it does seem to spout nonsense some of the time – saying things like ‘the best team will win’ which isn’t great but is inherent when building with a GPT. What we really liked was the detail it provided, which is similar to our first choice GPT, and we would solidly recommend this in third place.

4. BetWise

[Used 1754 times by Jan. 2024]

Rating: 4 out of 5.

This is not a bad option, it has limited use cases for what most sports bettors want to do though! Great recall in terms of discovering games and showing the odds as well as the favourites which is really nice but I ran into a few issues when we started to push further into more complex questions (see the screenshots below). Seems to be knowledgable simply from the GPT element and the Bing recall is high but there are common mistakes and the answers are not as detailed or thorough as our top pick.

5. Sports Betting Master

[Used 421 times by Jan. 2024]

Rating: 4 out of 5.

This was a tough call. I congratulate the creator, Zachary Fedlay here, on building a super comprehensive and thorough GPT, and it was tough to decide between this and BetWise to be honest as both are good. However, the only thing that separated it was in the recall which came far less naturally than the others – and only generated when prompted.

Even when it did recall, it’s recall knowledge was worse than the previous GPT’s we mentioned only in so far as it provided more vague answers (see below).

The standout here was that it was very, very good at understanding the factors that influence a match and understanding past results which is excellent if you are looking to build your own sports betting model or keep up-to-date with sports betting news.

6. Ultimate Sports Bet Oracle

[Used 113 times by Jan. 2024]

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Created by Keith Crowe, this is a fairly middle of the pack GPT, but still a solid effort. It seems to operate pretty nicely with good recall, great summarisation and overall really nice to use – we could have ranked this higher as it feels pretty good to use so a solid choice for people looking to use a GPT to augment their sports betting.

7. Sports Betting Helper

[Used 608 times by Jan. 2024]

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Despite the strange name of the creator – ‘quickaudiobook’- this actually proved to be a pretty effective betting bot in practice, although we encountered mixed results after using it several times. Often it would simply refuse to provide predictions and other times it wouldn’t;t be able to recall odds, but overall, when it worked, it really worked about as well as ‘The Ultimate Sports Bet Oracle’ reviewed above. It also tended to skew American so for those out there looking for that, then this is for you.

Not a bad contender and definitely worthy of a spot in our guide – it’s a try for sure.

8. The LockSmith

[Used 290 times by Jan. 2024]

Rating: 3 out of 5.

OK, so what to say about The LockSmith… I think it’s a decent effort in creating a GPT but built primarily for commercial purposes – after nearly every response there is a code for a website to get a ‘100% deposit match’, so clearly it was created with commercial intent.

However, despite that, it’s not a bad effort to create a GPT, it has enough of a recall even though some answers don’t make sense, and it is fine at recalling statistics which is useful if you want to build your own model. But generally, our advice would be to avoid if you can, at least until some crucial elements are updated.

9. Sports Betting Arbitrage

[Used 95 times by Jan. 2024]

Rating: 2.5 out of 5.

Despite the cool sounding name and appealing logo design, it is again, another corporate shill, every answer is brought to you by ‘cockfight.gg’, apparently… I don’t mind it, especially given the detail it provides, but it seems to be calling an API on the main website to render the information and if that data is hard to find, or not found at all it seems to load incredibly slowly and often misinterpret the request. I don’t know if this is a smart SEO play more than anything but the data it provides is still valid for specific purposes.

10. ParlayGPT

[Used 579 times by Jan. 2024]

Rating: 2 out of 5.

Given this is an NBA & NFL specific betting bot, we can’t rank it much higher than this, the range of possible betting options are extremely limited. It has decent-ish recall but often leaves gaps. If you are an NBA or NFL fan it might be worth checking out, but considering the plethora of other options, I’d give this a miss.

Conclusion

Our recommendation is that you try the GPT store for yourself, understand what you are trying to get out of a GPT – whether that be live odds – predictive capability based on data or past statistics or simply strategy & understanding. Based on this criteria – please review our ‘Range’ metrics which will give you a good indication of the potential applications and the potential accuracy of those use cases.
